Virginia Potter

Virginia started her training in anatomy and physiology over 9 years ago, where she went on to study swedish massage and reflexology, deep tissue, remedial and pregnancy massage, then further qualifying in Sports and Injury Massage Level 4 at Middlesex School of Complementary medicine.

Virginia specialises in treating chronic neck and back pain, repetitive strain injuries, sciatica, sports massage maintenance and injuries.

With a back ground in fashion millinery design and working within a corporate law firm, Virginia realises how poor posture, especially in the work place, active or sedentary, can affect how the body functions, often leading to aches and pains and many chronic related conditions.

‘‘As a Sports Massage Therapist I have always treated non-sporting people as well as sporting people. I treat all age groups, fitness levels and abilities, so I am aware of what injuries can occur during sporting activity, as well as how occupational and life stresses can impact on the body, to stop us feeling and performing at our best”.

Virginia has provided remedial massage post adjustments within a chiropractic clinic to patients with musculoskeletal conditions and as regular back maintenance and works within many professional and corporate companies providing massage in offices, company and sports events and runs posture awareness workshops.

I thoroughly enjoy what I do. Over the years my techniques have become more refined and with an understanding of the human body more spiritually, mentally and physically, through personal experience and continuous personal development courses, wellness exhibitions, studies and books.  I look at the holistic view as well as just assessing the area of pain, with those who suffer stress, chronic pain or previous trauma, which makes my treatments much more rewarding giving positive results.
